It took only one photo and a proper hashtag – and yet only 9 out of 70,000 contestants were chosen to have (probably) the biggest adventure of their life. What am I talking about? The Insta-casting for Marc by Marc Jacobs.
30 lucky ones were gathered in New York from all around the world and then went through the final selection. Who made the cut? We know only three of them (you can see the campaign pictures below), and the rest will appear in the August issue of Teen Vogue. Can’t wait for it! As Marc Jacobs says, “It seemed like a great idea to me, as casting through Instagram seemed cool, current and strong. We wanted the ads to shout with youth and energy”. And it definitely does, for which another person could get some credit – David Sims was the one to capture the vivid spirit of #CASTMEMARC project.
