Chanel set the scene with their Parisian catwalk show this fashion week. The scenic views of calming waterfalls and picturesque marsh and flowers made for a spectacular event. The 60s influences were clear this season. The use of clear plastic fabrics that became popular during the experimental/futuristic phase of fashion in the 1960s.

The theme continued with square cut mini dresses all done in the signature Chanel prints and fabrics. It was an ode to vintage sixties style that managed to remain sexy, and current using cropped tops and youthful oversized jackets. Chanel is a brand that has continuity through the years, rarely ever straying from the cuts and fabrics that have become synonymous with their brand.

Elements of water, fluidity and femininity in the collection mirrored the picturesque backdrop of the show. The collection managed to show variety in silhouettes that made for a dynamic show.
