Her sophisticated, fresh and quirky style caught my eye and I’m happy to introduce her to our MESS-Y readers.
Veena McCoole is a 17 year old fashion blogger, freelance journalist and model living between Singapore and London. She documents her personal style, fashion week reviews and adventures in the international fashion industry on her blog, seveninchstilettos.com, which was started as a hobby in the summer of 2011. Three years on, she has hired a team of interns to help expand her business and take it to the next level. She has recently launched a small e-commerce section of her website which she hopes to expand as she sells more of her pre-loved wardrobe.
She has been a fixture at seasonal fashion weeks in Singapore including Audi Fashion Festival, Fide Fashion Weeks and Digital Fashion Week. Veena interviewed notable celebrities such as androgynous model Andrej Pejic, Patricia Field and Sophie Sumner as part of Digital Fashion Week 2012’s regional blogger panel, and joined the Digital Fashion Week team in 2013 working behind the scenes in preparation for their 2013 event.
She has considerable reach in the Singaporean and Asian fashion scenes as one of Singapore’s pioneering fashion bloggers, as well as international readers hailing from Europe and the US. Furthermore, her experience with online blogshop modeling has attracted a wave of savvy online shoppers, who are now also readers and followers of her blog, Instagram, and other social media platforms.
She hopes to continue her education after high school at a US university with hopes of pursuing a career in journalism, psychology or fashion business management.
