Graduating from Central St Martins in London, to designing for Lady GaGa, Jamie Wei Huang is slowly becoming one of the most talked about, up and coming designers.
Catching her straight after her third show to be showcased at LFW, we had a small chat regarding her new collection, her inspiration and a little bit about herself.
The SS15 collection is heavily influenced by clash that is so wrong, it’s right. Self-expression is key to the collection, filled with broad shapes, variety of exciting textures and pastel & deep shades. Jamie stated the collection tells a story of inner self, contemporary with a dash of being weird. The clothing has the edge and style of a biker, mixed with the light tones makes the perfect clash. We asked her, if she could sum up this collection in few words, it’ll be confindence and expressing yourself.
We expect big things from Jamie, and hope to see her next season at Fashion Week for AW15.
