Gucci launched its Spring/Summer 2022 collection, ‘Gucci Love Parade’ featuring an eclectic mix of some of the world’s best dressed VIPs. The likes of Lizzo, Jared Leto, Jodie Turner-Smith and Billie Eilish rocked up to Hollywood Boulevard, ready to marvel at the frills and feathers of Alessandro Michele’s latest collection.

The Classic Feather Boa
Gucci have never shied away from a feather trim, but the Love Parade really made the most of the classic boa. Miley Cyrus was spotted following the feathers; channelling a modern take on the 50’s Hollywood starlet with a bouffant up-do and ankle length flapper-style shift dress. The runway featured multiple feather-adorned looks, well and truly bringing dramatic glamour to the streets of Hollywood Boulevard.

The Power Suit
Nothing screams Gucci like a vibrant power suit and Alessandro Michele did anything but disappoint. The members of Måneskin stepped out, bringing a hint of their glam-rock signature to the proceedings. Michele featured his version(s) of the classic suit; including an all-mint-silk-number and variations of the classic Gucci plaid print.

Vibrant Prints
The Love Parade’s vibrant prints made headlines, particularly whilst adorning that of an unexpected star model; Macaulay Culkin. Culkin is known for shying away from the spotlight and is rarely seen in public; therefore, this surprise collaboration between the child star and Gucci just goes to show what a marvel this collection truly is.

A Touch of The Gothic
Dark, feminine silhouettes with dramatic layering were all the range both on and off the runway. Gothic regular, Billie Eilish, was seen sporting a stunning lacy maroon number with matching spider-web head netting. The classic Gothic tropes were very much a constant throughout Michele’s vision, however, he continued to marry it with touches of that vintage, glamorous 1950’s Hollywood style he is so famously inspired by.
