So far 2015 started off very well for Ms. Kendall Jenner, as she nabs yet another campaign. She teamed up with Karl Lagerfeld for his Spring 2015 Campaign.
Clearly we really can’t get enough of Kendall. She is coming to the big screen near you, and by big screen I mean your television. Her ad with Estee Lauder has arrived and she is as Tyra Banks would say “smizing.” Estee Lauder is pushing to grab the attention of young shoppers and I think they hit the nail right on the head.
Enough with the Kendall overload.
In remembrance of the lovely and talented L’Wren Scott, Mike Jagger has donated a scholarship to Central Saint Martins. This will cover the duration of the two-year MA Fashion course, including contributions towards living fees. “I am very grateful to receive this extremely generous scholarship package, gifted by Mick Jagger in L’Wren Scott’s name,” says Course Director Fabio Piras. “Our students sacrifice much to take up this course and work extremely hard when they are here. I am proud of the fact that this course … continues to be recognized as a major contributor to the future of the global fashion industry.”
A well-known teen retailer files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection and I am not talking about Delia. Losing 150 million in the past 2 years, Wet Seal has closed 338 stores and laid-out 3,700 employees. This is caused by losing their teen customer base to rivals H&M, Forever 21 because “they have done a better job matching current fast-fashion trends, quickly churning out designs that have caught the attention of teens and young adults” stated by John Cale. The retailer now has only 173 locations and its online business but let’s just wait and see what happens next.
