Goth meets glam, with a dash of sophistication. That’s the three words which are most fitting for JPB’s AW15 collection. A flow of natural shades stormed down the runway. Solid colours and surprise of intense detail kept the collection full of life throughout the show.
Silhouette of the models was feminine and tailored, however with a contrast of boxy and flowing. The detail was heavy influences of symmetry, of soft earthy and secondary tones. Additional to the detailed print, we also saw huge concentration into embellishment and beading in the knitwear garments. In addition to the detail, solid coloured fabrics of blacks, maroons, greens, camel and navy’s also took centre stage. Textures of cotton, wool, furs and leather were all in the show, catering to any style for the modern woman.
A exceptional detail which highlighted the overall collection was the influence of nostalgia and the use of chokers, however with a sophisticated twist. Instead of the classic choker, Jean-Pierre used the help of the style of bulking belts. Each belt was a jet black shade, topped with a bold buckle. Extending the models necks, this collection was about bringing the true woman elegant shape in a gothic, sophisticated form.
With upbeat music, the collection showed a style and attitude of empowering quirky fashion, the ideal london look which was brought into Fashion Week.
