My favourite collection from the entire of this season’s shows was Ralph Lauren. I have always had a love for the brand; they have a unique ability to be able to take the season’s latest trends and give their own classic, elegant edge. This time round, the collections were based around plenty of pastels and luxury fabrics in their Ready-To-Wear show. Capes and Cocoon boyfriend coats will be sticking around throughout the year, complete with co-coordinating satin trousers. Satin and silk were a big trend in the Ralph Lauren House this season, in the form of baby pink capes, trousers, floor length gowns and even trainers. If the prices they charge aren’t quiiiite in your budget, Topshop have released brilliant substitutions. My favourites are –
– Topshop Duchess Satin Bow Back Prom Dress – £75
– Topshop Satin Trousers (in pink, and absolute MUST and can be worn in summer and winter alike!) – £45
Also, Ralph Lauren also gave us the continuation of the tartan trend, so no need to throw out the tartan you bought for last winter. One of the investments I will be making over the next few months will be a leather and sheepskin coat. Throughout the entirety of A/W this season, including Louis Vuitton and Valentino, teamed with skinny jeans or casual dresses and boots, the sheepskin will be your future best friend.
