Anglican Church Turned into a Dazzling Melbourne Home

Imagine the following: An old Anglican church with high ceilings and as imposing structure as you can find stands quietly on Hudson Street. Dark colours, somewhat intimidating arcades and the mandatory round windows completed the traditional look of the  sanctuary. Fast forward a few decades and you will have the perfect haunted old church to ruin the otherwise lush look of the Melbourne suburb.

Luckily, this is not what happened in our case. The old church became the muse and working field of the brilliant owners of a local firm – Bagnato Architecture. Marie and Dominic Bagnato’s  creative combination of traditional religious architecture and contemporary design elements such as floor-to-ceilling windows has made this dazzling home one of the best and most luminous examples of 21st century architecture.
