Who are you?
I’m a 17 year old Brazilian blogger, and l have been living in Japan for almost 11 years. I am addicted to series and my hobby is drawing people and fashion sketches.
I’m always doing my best to get my life and style out of routines.
How did you start blogging?
I’ve always been passionate about fashion and willing to show my own perspective of it to other people.
At the beginning, I started to post some photos at LookBook.nu, which gave me good results. So I decided to create a blog. I’ve been blogging for about 10 months and I could learn a lot, specially about myself.
I’ve found out that I love communicating and exchanging experiences with people and that’s exactly what I want to do for a living.
In my blog I talk about my life in general.
My blog is not only about fashion. It is basically a diary of my daily life, where I share with people my experiences, such as places I visit, cosmetics for men, music and others. In other words, a little bit of my tastes.
Since it is about my personal life, I decided to name it KK-1197 (KK for Kevin Kinno and 1197 for 11/11/1997)
Recently, I created a channel on YouTube in order to communicate more with people and to make them know me even better
Who inspires you and your style?
I don’t have a specific source of inspiration but living here in Japan made me more open-minded, specially when it comes to fashion.
A 5 minute walk in Tokyo is enough to see the huge variety of styles.
It amazes me how Japanese people don’t care whether they are wearing pajamas or a totally awkward outfit. Being original and satisfied with their looks is what matters. I got very inspired by this.
My personal style is a mix of everything, or better saying, it is a Mess!
I like to be aware of what is in and what is not and adhere to my wardrobe just the trends that please me.
I like to be unpredictable and try different clothes and combinations.
I like to get out of my comfort zone, after all this is the best part of fashion: we can “play”with clothes and create new characters, or as I frequent say, express our moods.
Fashion people are constantly considered as crazy. In my opinion, this is actually a good thing!
I like to make myself different from everybody else, and fashion provides me that.
Any future projects?
I have some ongoing projects. but I’m keeping them secret for now.
I can only say that one involves a new Brazilian brand of sportswear : Shore Less.
Any favourite collaborations in past?
At the begging of this year I’ve started a partnership with Anyshapes, which is a company of 3D iPhone Cases.
I was given by them a case with my blog’s logo and with my name in it.
See the rest of the his MESS-y looks here.
