With all the talk of feminism being such a big subject in the media today, there’s no surprises fashion has caught up with it in one way or another. During Paris Fashion week for SS15 season, Chanel showcased its womanswear collection with a hell lot of GIRLPOWER, with extra support for Emma Watson and her current #heforshe campaign. Signs and chants made there way down the runway of ‘BE YOUR OWN STYLIST’, ‘BE DIFFERENT’ & ‘LADIES FIRST’ encouraging stronger woman in the name of fashion.
With iconic faces such as Cara Delevingne, Lindsey Wixon, Daphne Groeneveld, Gisele Bundchen, Liu Wen, Charlotte Free and Kendall Jenner this catwalk was among many in the week attracting a world wide crowd. Including Chanel’s classic tweed, boy cut suits, CHANEL plated belts, rainbow coloured fabric, florals, textile detail, ‘make fashion not war’ motifs and a load of layering this is one collection to brighten up the summer season next year.
