Hermès Autumn/Winter 2014

Earth-tones and soft shades are always a winner for the autumn/winter months, so it’s no surprise Hermes went down the route for the season. Heavy garments and masculine shapes took the stage during the catwalk, keeping the catwalk classic to the boyfriend, boyish trend. Starting with a light delicate shade of grey, established in a heavy, boyfriend coat, complimented by clear white satin trousers and top. Classic and sophisticated, the collection progresses, with camel, green, black, and white shades. With that we saw snake skin, belts and fur, keeping the whole collection on a theme of wildlife. In addition, small printed garments filled with floral detail. With that, clashing with other patterns such as stripes and mutated fabric.

The whole collection is your classic, military modern girl, with a touch of sophistication, adapting all trends seen in the past year, of boyfriend, layering, leather, and small waists with belt design. It varied from warm heavy jackets to cape and box tees, and shaped busts. The collection overall, which I can see myself will have a huge impact on the highstreet with its timeless autumn colour palettes and hard-working style.
