We’re starting new section on messmag.com called #MESSMEDIA – we will be reporting you the hottest topics from mainstream media, from extraordinary parties, to brand presentations.
Today’s pick is NYC designer – Christopher Lee Sauvé that really brought our attention from the early beginnings of his work. His tees with iconic popcolture motives such as Micky Mouse or personas such as Anna Wintour, Madonna or Terry Richardson, have become extremely popular and gained sympathy of Miley Cyrus or Madonna.
‘Nothing tastes as good as skinny’ – this infmaous quote from Kate Moss, caused a big stir on social media. Although, many Twitter users accused Christopher of promoting anorexia and bulimia, Christopher stayed true to his vision.
Unsurprisingly, Chirstopher’s new SS15 Collection is called ‘T H E P O P C U LT C L U B’ and it is true essence of Mainstream Media Mania. It shows a popculture blend of late 20th and early 21st century global media cult objects, pictures and people and its influence on our everyday life. The presentation took place during NYFW and was hosted by one of the Lee Sauve’s fans – Perez Hilton in the Empire Hotel. Take a look at ‘The Pop Cult Club’ SS15 Collection:
