The most regal of the shows – Dolce&Gabbana will now forever remind us of royalty since all the crowns and gems presented for Fall/Winter ’13. We’re happy to see the continuity in that plot, which means the Italian duet – Domenico and Stefano – didn’t give up on all the wealthy decor worth the finest royal courts!
New element? Antique, brass key. Surrounded by flowers on a dark fabric they make an impression of some sort of a secret garden that only few know about (or only those, who can afford D&G designs…). That way or another, we would love to collect all the keys from the show! Foxes, owls, swans and squirrels – the animal motif strongly supports the garden/forest hypothesis, and I would even say the source of inspiration here were… fairy tales. If I had to say which ones, I’d choose the combination of The Secret Garden and Snow White (no dwarfs though, not on the catwalk!). What story do you think fits this collection the best?
