White – Out

White is a very popular colour in the summer especially in the form of dresses. At the fashion weeks it was definitely about beauty in detail and layering white over white for a fresh look. This hot new trend seen at Victoria Beckham, Jill Stuart, Ralph Lauren, Chloe, Alexander Wang and Chanel. You can start rocking this hot new look which looks great with minimal accessories.

Gladiator SandalsCAGE-SANDALS

With spring right around the corner sandal season is all about the gladiator sandals. At fashion week designers embraced their inner bohemians by pairing summer dresses with gladiator sandals which were laced up just below the knee. Chloe, Alexander McQueen and Balmain were a few designers that included the sandals into their collection. These gladiator sandals look best with a dress just above the knees or with some shorts.

At the SS15 fashion week sheer clothing was very popular among the designers and was seen on almost every catwalk from New York, London, Milan and Paris. Some designers decided to go with just a sheer top or skirt whilst others opted for the head to toe sheer look. Tom Ford, Burberry Prorsum, Topshop Unique and D&G were just a few designers that played with sheer in their collection. You can rock this trend by wearing a camisole underneath or be daring and go hard with just a bra and some fashionable trousers.

Denim Delights

Denim will forever be a classic, in the summer people are wearing cropped denim jackets over summer dresses, denim shorts or even  denim dresses. So seeing denim on the catwalk as new trend showed how determined designers were to put their own stamp on everyone’s favourite fabric this spring/summer. Burberry put their models in cropped denim jackets with trainers whereas Stella McCartney served up a laidback denim with a strong 70s feel.

What’s a catwalk without a little metallic vying for attention from every flashbulb. With metallic textiles coming in all shapes and sizes its no wonder glitter, liquid metallic, embellishments, sequins were all a major part of fashion week. Ranging from House of Holland’s metallic colour blocking to statement accessories from Whistels and glamorous adornments created by Tom Ford. Julien Macdonald beautifully contrasted  a colourful metallic skirt with a soft knitwear with intricate lacework.
