The Witch City is definitely on top of the list and every year attracts hundreds of tourists, being one of the most tempting places on the East Coast. The town was made famous by the notorious witchcraft trials in 1692 that executed twenty people on charges of witchcraft. Salem pays tribute all the year to the town’s history but in October the city goes all out with haunted houses, events, parades and performers. Don’t miss out on the Witch Museum, the House of Seven Gables and the Witch House!

If witches are not really your thing why not trying with vampires? This region of Romania is indeed, well known for its most popular place, the Dracula Castle and its vampire tradition. Halloween is the most appropriate time of the year to visit it, since events and celebrations constantly take place.

You might not have heard of Kutna Hora before, but if you are a Halloween enthusiast you should definitely check this city out. Indeed, it is home to the famous Sedlec Ossuary, a small chapel that will offer some of the scariest views ever. Thousands of skeletons are what you will find here and they are all put together in order to create a wide variety of objects and artistic constructions. I am pretty sure that once you will hear the stories about them you will totally understand why Kutna Hora is such an iconic city when it comes to Halloween.

The hill of crosses is indeed another top destination for Halloween and you will soon understand why. The hill is indeed popular due to the thousands of crosses of different shape, colour, size and ornaments that are spread all over.

Most people wait until Spring Break or summer to head to Cancun but not many known that this beautiful Mexican city is ideal for Halloween celebrations as well. Here Halloween is called the Day of Dead and it actually consists of two full days of celebrations. Tons of parades and festivals, costumes, puppets, masks, skeletons and candles are what will await you here.

New York is a city worth visiting every time of the year. However, during Halloween it becomes even more special due to the huge parade that takes place every year in the Greenwich Village. Million people with costumes and masks will wait for you there together with musicians, dancers and puppeteers.
