Diana Horsfall is a fashion and style blogger from Kazakhstan, and is currently set in Williamsburg, US. Her blog is full of inspiration, culture and style from her own creativity and prospective. We got the chance to catchup with her and hear about her views on AW15, her style and thoughts about fashion.
1. What is your favourite collection from Fashion Week AW15 and why?
I went this spring to Seoul for Seoul Fashion Week and some of my favorite
collections were Paul & Alice, J Koo and Push Button. They always have something
unique, refreshing and energizing. I suppose my top favorite is Paul & Alice, since
they offer everything that I love with such sheer elegance.
2. Your current obsession at the moment?
Stripes. I feel like my big love of stripes came from South Korea. Also, vintage
clothing is big for me. I have been buying a lot of vintage dresses lately.
3. What is one item of clothing you can’t live without?
Dresses. I can’t image my wardrobe without pretty and feminine dresses. They can
be maxi, mini, midi, etc. I like expressing my femininity.
4. Anything on your wishlist right now?
Long coat. I had this wish since spring, but could never find something that captured
the exact subtleties for what I was looking.
5. What is your biggest fashion no-no?
Animal printed clothes! I must confess though, I do own one small violation of this
policy. One pair of my shoes has animal print, but I think Steve Madden created
them so well, that they are universally appealing.
6. What is that one item everyone needs in their wardrobe?
Distressed jeans, a little black dress and cool sneakers. Those are three staples. If I
had to narrow it down to just one, it would definitely be the distressed jeans.
7. Explain your style in 3 words?
Feminine (like I mentioned earlier), chic and classy.
8. What does blogging and styling mean to you?
Blogging is not just a hobby nowadays. It’s a lifestyle that can transform into
business functions. It depends on how serious you take it. To me, styling means
expressing yourself through style. This is my identity, and it’s something that allows
me to make a living, meet great people, and have fun!
