Versace. A couture house shrouded in legend and scandals, once rumoured to be done in the fashion industry, but somehow still ending up on the top of it. Donatella Versace may have had her issues, but she knows damn well how to run her label.
This year’s Fall/Winter show abounded in warm colors – the extinguished tones of turqoise, intense crimson, and of course, many designs were in black. The playful element appearing in most of the silhouettes are rows of big, golden buttons, that add a spark into the chic dresses, jackets and coats. Accessories are really smart – big necklaces, casual handbags and boots. Yes, about those… we love most of them, but there is one model that rises some questions… How do you feel about the tied-laces boots with long toes? That might be the weakest link of the collection, seriously – they didn’t look good even 15 years ago, when they were supposedly à la mode.
