New York Fashion Week Street Style Round-Up Lucy Creber September 5, 2014 Designers, Fashion Weeks, MESSFashion, MESSHealth, Style, Trends New York Fashion Week kicked off officially yesterday, and it was close to 90 degrees! Still, many attendees opted for seasonally inappropriate clothing. Aimee Song layered a cropped knit over a white button-down, all from BCBG, and somehow managed not to appear sweaty. But thankfully, not everyone thought it was 50 degrees outside. Leandra Medine wore cutoffs with a billowy Rosie Assoulin blouse. Aimee Song Must’ve been really really cold or she has a special x men genetic mutation that doesn’t make her sweat! Just looking at her outfit could make any girl break out in sweet. I love her classic use of layers. Aimee’s grey and white outfit with a metallic cloth and beautiful strappy heels give this look a eccentric edge. Camille Charriere of Camille Over the Rainbow Camille has a casual chic with a sporty edge. Her Acne Blazer adds a sophistication to her otherwise sporty casual look. I especially love her leather Marlene Birger Cluth. Mysterious Male Model His luminous skin, killer defined cheekbones, and skateboard, this male model is casual manly perfection. Elizabeth Minett I love this white on white ensemble. Elizabeth finishes off this whimsical outfit with a set of practical menswear-style oxford shoes. Hyoni Kang & Soyoung Kang Love these sibling Korean models. They give that Cowboy western look a chic and sporty edge. Mysterious Style Queen They say a picture is worth a thousand words…. as you can see in the image I am not the only that thinks her look is beautiful! The sheer polka dot peplum jacket over the midi white skirt looks very chic and the nude sandals finish off this understated but detailed outfit. Leandra Medine Just wear Rosie Assoulin blouse. Leandra took that to heart and she looks amazing in this contemporary twist on a basic shirt. Couple with ripped shorts and a structured clutch makes this look of of my favourites! Sonya Esman of Class is Internal I am already a big fan of Sonya (Check out my interview with her at #FRESHMESS FASHION BLOGGER SONYA ESMAN OF CLASS IS INTERNAL) It was no surprise to me that I saw her in this spongebob Moschino number. Mysterious Grunge Warrior Her black and white pattern clashes with the layering in her dress and clutch just sets this outfit apart from all the others. Her practical boots give this a grunge feel. Vanessa Hong Street style and sensibility? These two different go together well with this look. Thanks to this pink and breezy dress by Kaelen with black sneakers.
