TOPSHOP NEWGEN – did you grab your bag?

We are still sobbing over the fact that #LFW is over for this season but no fear, we picked up a little memoir on our way out.

If you attended all week you’ll know there was a variety of interactive stalls and rooms all over Somerset house. We had Toni&Guy for those last minute make-overs between shows (because you always need to look on top) and Topshop Newgens ‘Make Your Own Bag’. Created by the BFC and sponsored by Topshop, bloggers, buyers, press, visitors and designers we’re able to create a that essential cotton bag with chosen design at the front, using prints, images and patterns from up and coming British designers.

With hundreds of combinations, every fashionista had a print to cater to them. The designers designs used for the bags BFC’S talent to look out for, so what better way than making a stomp into one of the most biggest fashion events of the year than letting the public experience your designs for themselves.

The designers used for this project were  1205, Lucas Nascimento, Marques’Almeida, Claire Borrow, Ashley Williams, Danielle Romeril, Faustine Steinmetz and Ryan Lo, who were all winners for Exhibition, Presentation and Catwalk sponsorship.

In the past we’ve seen similar projects in partnership with Topshop, which have created big designers such as Mary Katranzou, Holly Fulton, Louise Gray and Emma Cook.

We are already excited to see what next year has in store for us, and what prints we’ll be using next season for our DIY fashion essentials.
